What should my child wear?
The safety, comfort, and enjoyment of the Kinderdance® programs are enhanced by purchasing your child the proper attire, thereby ensuring an optimal learning experience. Uniforms are required to ensure your child has a positive and safe learning experience while attending classes in the Kinderdance® programs.

Where can I buy dance shoes/clothes for my child?
Kinderdance of Central Virginia offers busy parents the convenience of buying quality merchandise direct at competitive prices. The proper dance or gymnastics clothing and footwear are carefully fitted. Items will be delivered directly to your child’s class. Remember, all orders must be paid in full before delivery.

How does my child sign up for Kinderdance® programs?
Some schools and child care centers offer Kinderdance® programs to all students as part of their curriculum, and some offer Kinderdance® as an enrichment or after-school program. Some do both! Go to the REGISTER page and find your school if you’d like to sign up and pay online for enrichment/after school programs. Call or email us if you’d like to have Kinderdance® programs offered at your school.
When will classes start?
A minimum enrollment and full payment of 5 children is required for a class to be scheduled and maintained.
What if classes have already started?
Your child can begin classes any time during the session. Pro-rated tuition and registration fees will apply.
How much is tuition?
Prices at our locations vary slightly. Find your child’s location here. Please email or call for more pricing information.
There is a $25 annual registration fee due each year in September. Students joining in January will pay a $15 registration fee for the remainder of the dance year. Students joining in summer will pay a $5 registration fee for the summer months.
How do I pay tuition?
Tuition is due before classes begin. For your convenience, tuition will be automatically deducted from your credit or check card each month on the 1st.
Pro-rated fees do apply if your child starts classes later in the session.
Is tuition prorated if my child is absent or if the month only has 3 classes?
All tuitions are based on an average of four (4) lessons per month. Months with five lessons are considered to balance against those months with three lessons (i.e., those with holidays). Sorry, but no refunds or deductions will be made for days your child is absent. You are paying for your child’s space as well as for the services you receive. If your contracted schedule is not working for you, please call or email to discuss changes that may be possible.
What is the class schedule?
The Kinderdance® programs generally follow the academic year, with summer classes offered at participating locations. Elementary schools, child care centers and any locations offering the program can begin at any time.
Schedules will vary slightly among our various locations but generally they will follow the following schedule:
Thanksgiving Break: Thanksgiving Day through the following Sunday
Winter Break: Christmas Eve through January 1st
Spring Break: Same as nearest school district
SUMMER CLASSES RUN JUNE THROUGH AUGUST
KDCV follows the nearest school calendar in regards to breaks…. Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break, as well as any other school holidays observed by individual school locations.
Total value of lost dance days due to holiday or holiday breaks has been considered and is reflected in the monthly tuition amount.
What if there is bad weather?
Kinderdance of Central Virginia follows the nearest school district weather cancellations/delays. There will be no make-up classes or refunds for classes cancelled due to bad weather.
Can I come watch the classes?
Yes! However, to ensure optimum learning for your children, we ask that parents do not visit classes until after the first four weeks. This period is when the children get used to the teacher and routine of the class. Our classes are structured with lesson plans and visitors can create distractions to a child’s social and emotional comfort. If you are interested in knowing more about how your child is progressing and what she/he is learning, please talk with your Kinderdance® Instructor. We invite all friends and family to see what we’ve learned at a year-end demonstration.

Will there be a recital or program?
Yes! We will have an end of year program, complete with costumes, each spring demonstrating all your child has learned!
How is Kinderdance® different from other dance/movement/gymnastics programs?
Kinderdance® teaches to the whole child. The curriculum was designed specifically for young children, and includes activities that help children achieve both physical and emotional developmental milestones. The programs also incorporate academic concepts like numbers, colors, shapes and words. For more detailed information click HERE to read the Science of Kinderdance®.
How can my school offer Kinderdance® as a movement program for all the students?
Many schools offer Kinderdance classes as a part of their curriculum, with weekly classes for all the students. Classes generally last for half an hour to forty minutes, and Kinderdance charges a flat hourly rate. Sometimes the school includes classes as part of their budget, and sometimes parents pay an additional fee. Click HERE to contact Kinderdance if your school is interested in finding out more.
How long will my child be enrolled in the class?
Students will never be withdrawn from class (even at the start of a new session) unless we are notified by phone or email.
What if I want to withdraw my child from class?
We hope you will never want to leave, but if you do please fill out our Cancellation Form, call or email and let us know!
If your child is enrolled in a school where you pay Kinderdance directly, you may withdraw from the class in the first three weeks and your prorated tuition will be refunded to you. After three weeks of class, there are no refunds.
Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Notification to withdraw from class must be received in writing by the 15th of the month in order to stop tuition payment for the following month.

Our Use of Your Personal Information
Kinderdance of Central Virginia will ask you to provide information that personally identifies you, your location or your contact information when you enroll in dance classes or purchase dancewear, request information from us, or register on our site for any other reason. We will use your personal information to fulfill your specific request and also to make contact with you related to that request. For example, when you provide personal information to enroll in a dance class, we will use that information to register the student, but we will also use that information to contact you about billing and service matters or if we have a question or dispute with you. If you contact us with questions about our products or services, we will use your contact information to answer your specific questions, but may also use your personal contact information to provide additional materials about our products at a later date.
Kinderdance of Central Virginia will access your personal information and/or share it with third parties only for the following purposes: (i) as needed to confirm compliance with the terms of your registration agreement or to enforce our rights under a registration agreement; (ii) if required to do so by law or to comply with legal process; (iii) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the public; or (iv) in connection with a merger, consolidation or sale of substantially all assets of Kinderdance of Central Virginia. Kinderdance of Central Virginia will not sell your personal information to anyone, except that Kinderdance of Central Virginia may sell all rights to some or all of our products and the sale of your personal information will be part of that sale.
Kinderdance of Central Virginia is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. Kinderdance of Central Virginia stores your personal information in secure operating environments that are not accessible by the general public. Credit card numbers are used only for processing payment. Credit card information is accepted only through a portion of our website that encrypts the credit card information before transmission for your added protection.
Registration
In order to use our services, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest.
Our Use of Non-Personal Information
Kinderdance of Central Virginia also gathers and uses data that includes some of your personal information, but in a way that removes all of the parts of the personal information that could be used to identify you. That information is used for analyzing the effectiveness of various marketing strategies and also for analyzing the performance and use of our products. We may share this collected information for marketing or product improvements.
